# Creating a Kingdom
To create a Kingdom, first drop down into the Overworld pit in spawn. You’ll be teleported to a random location in the Overworld where you can begin your journey.

Then, gather some resource and explore around. Once you have decided that you have found a safe spot, do /k create <name> to create your kingdom! Your kingdom core will be placed right below your feet.

To invite other players or friends into your kingdom, you can also do /k invite <player> to invite them to your kingdom!

Once your kingdom is created, a beacon block will spawn where you created the kingdom. This beacon block is your **kingdom core**. Make sure to protect it at all costs! 

If you right-click the Kingdom Core, you will be greeted with a core menu, on which you have several options:
1. **Core Upgrades** - where you can upgrade the Maximum Kingdom claims your kingdom has, the maximum core health your kingdom has, and the max member count!
2. **The Claims Menu** - where you can see a list of all Kingdom claims at a glance. To unclaim a claim, simply click on it.
3. **The Upgrade Menu** - where you can level up your kingdom and unlock new and powerful upgrades that could help your kingdom substantially!
4. **Gold Menu** - Where you can view the current gold balance you have, as well as purchase more Kingdom Gold
5. **Member Menu** - Where you can view all kingdom members, as well as promote, demote, and kick them.

When you create a kingdom, so long as you have a kingdom core, you can go back to it by doing `/k home`. If you have multiple kingdom cores (such as Interplanetary Cores), you can do `/k home list` to see a list of all kingdom homes you have.
